Fall Damascus Quarter

This fall quarter (September–December), KCKA will be offering two Damascus classes at separate locations each month, allowing more members to get hands-on experience in the shops.

Intro to Pattern Welding / Damascus

The Ogre’s Forge — Joshua O’Crowley, Manhattan, KS

This class focuses on the foundational skills of making Damascus and is recommended for makers who have completed 10 or fewer billets.

Phil Evan's Shop — Columbus, KS

Designed for makers looking to expand beyond traditional pattern-welded billets and learn canister Damascus techniques. Recommended for makers who have completed more than 10 billets.

Membership Requirement

You must be a voting KCKA member (current $30 annual membership) to participate in forging Damascus. Non-members are welcome to attend and learn, but will not be able to forge a billet.
