Our Annual Business Meeting and group gathering will be held on Saturday, July 27th at the Meriden Antique Engine & Threshers Association grounds, located at 8275 K4 Highway in Meriden. The day starts at 10:00 AM with the Board of Directors meeting to discuss business matters and vote on new board members. Following this, we'll proceed with voting for our Members' Choice Awards in categories like hunter, folder, camp knife, and chef knife, as well as Best in Show. Lunch will be served, followed by a knife forging demonstration by Master Bladesmith Steve Culver. Afterward, we'll have a cutting competition where participants can showcase their skills. The knife specifications for the competition are: overall length of 15 inches, blade length of 10 inches, handle length of 5 inches, and no thicker than 1/4 inch at the spine.

Additionally, there will be activities such as an iron in the hat raffle where attendees can contribute items useful for knife making, and a BOD Knife Raffle fundraiser featuring knives made by board members. Awards for both the cutting competition and Members' Choice will be presented after the raffles. This event is family and friend-friendly, so feel free to bring anyone interested in knives or knife making. We look forward to seeing you there!
